At Watts Heating Equipments India, we manufacture specially designed and developed Edge Wound Strip Heaters also called as Bayonet Heaters.

 

The name Edge Wound Strip Heater or Bayonet Heater has come from the structure of the Heating Element strip coiled on the edge to radiate maximum heat, and in the process looking like a Bayonet.

 

With the experience and quality work ethics of years, we wind the heating element strip on the edge and then mount it on the high alumina ceramic supports so that there will be minimum contact with the ceramic refractory, thus  resulting in maximum radiation of surface area of the element.

 

 

Material grade: Nickel 80%, Chromium 20%, Nichrome or Kanthal A1 / AF strips

Watts Edge Wound Strip Heaters can be used up to furnace temperature of 1050°C. Although it depends upon power, voltage, wire size and watt density, Heat distribution is selected according to applications.

 

We suggest to avoid the use of step down transformer. Watts bayonet heater can be directly connected in star or delta circuits.
